About Me

My art comes from a feeling of “whoa, that just happened?” I have a soft spot for actions that make you think and feel, glimpses of strong, mischievous, brave, knowing, beyond the norm.

I want you to feel what I feel - awe, tenderness. And in my cards especially, a little bit of sinister makes it real. Being true isn’t always fun and games.

I capture moments stroke by stroke. Weaving together color, contrast, and complexity in surprising ways excites me, because I want my paintings to strike chords that intrigue and move. I’ll often listen to an album on repeat while painting, and dance between brush strokes. My paintings are the beauty I see, in my own language.

My cards are familiar moments, but through my eyes. I improv my cards. I draw in pen, no erasing. I put down a line and see what I feel, repeating until I get to familiarity with a tiny smirk.
